Thoughts and Prayers to Oklahoma City and Surrounding Area

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those in and around Oklahoma City.  The devastation is overwhelming.  The stories of heroism coming out of that horror are so touching.  And, there will be more heroism that will never be known.

As a retired Law Enforcement office, I feel for the emergency rescue people who are trying beyond human endurance to find and rescue as many as they can. Most are suffering themselves from loss of their own homes or worry about friends and family.  Or both.

I wish there were some magic words at this time, but there just is none.

What Happened to Spring Fishing???

I am a big fan of fishing, mostly with my Dad.  From a boat or from shore, doesn't matter.  I fish mostly Lake Koshkonong and Rock River.  I do a little fishing in the Stoughton ditches in the spring. Fishing opened this past weekend.  I usually have a little fishing in before the season opens-just the legal fish to catch that early.

But, this year, I have had nothing.  The Rock River and Lake Koshkonong has been off-limits due to the high water for a boat.  Even the shores are slushy.

My Dad is a frequent checker of "Lake Links" and seems like nobody is doing any good fishing in Rock or Jefferson counties.

If anyone has heard of some good fishing from shore, let me know.  I will keep it secret!!

Bad credit? Low income? Want property in country, or smaller communities?

Don’t let bad credit, or low income, keep you from a home you want.  Did you know that there is a program available for financing of rural property in Rock, Walworth, and Jefferson Counties?

The City of Janesville (and a few miles surrounding it) is not available for this program.  But, the cities of Clinton, Milton, Whitewater, Edgerton, and Fort Atkinson are?  You don’t have to live in the country near these communities, you can live right in town!

There are limits on income, and is a bottom to allowed credit score, but it depends on factors such as family size and home to purchase.

I would be happy to help you see if you qualify, and help you find just the right home for you.

What a great weekend!!

I saw the weather prediction for this weekend, and it looks GREAT!  Finally, it feels like we are now moving into mid-March, not the end of April.  But, I think we will all take what we can get.  It will be a good time to get outside and do that spring cleaning.  The winter left a lot of debris around.

I just cleaned up 4 months worth of my dog's poop.  Snow sure is a good preservative of that.
I have a winter's worth of horse manure to get out onto the field, but that will have to wait until the field dries up a bit more, and the wind dies down.  Spreading against the wind never is pleasant.  I hope your spring cleaning is not so aromatic.

Do be careful outside, especially on ladders.  Be sure you have a secure base for the ladder.  With the soft ground, you don't want your ladder to tip as it sinks into the ground while you are going up.

Hope everyone has a successful weekend, in whatever you do!

Is spring here?

I am fine tuning this blog.  It's got a LONG way to go.  At least, the spring weather seems to finally be here.  Time to get out and look for that new home.  If you are thinking of selling your home, do it NOW.  It is becoming a seller's market.  The current inventory is low, and I have buyers out there waiting for homes.

Greetings!

Hello!!

Thanks for checking out my new blog.  This is my first blog!!  I am a Realtor for First Weber in Janesville.

I am starting this blog to assist those interested in buying and selling their property is Janesville, Milton, Edgerton, Whitewater, and Fort Atkinson.  This is my 'stomping ground'.

I hope to be your 'go-to source' for all things local in real estate.

I will be posting tips for buying or selling property, new listings in the above areas, local events (you can help your local event out by letting me know), school and community information, and just general chit-chat. I will also be setting up a site where you can look up property you may be interested in, or just to browse.

I am also a Professional Real Estate Photographer, if you want to sell you home yourself, but want professional photos taken for your use. Top-level photography is paramount to selling your home. You don't need just photos, you need Glamor Shots of your home and property!!

I hope you will like this, and come here often. I also hope to get discussions going about real estate in this area!
